RJ Not Far Away!

We are now ten months into our new contract and it’s been an interesting time promoting and embedding Restorative Justice (RJ) practice and approaches within our work.

For those new to restorative justice, as a concept, it is a voluntary process which offers you the potential to communicate with the offender of a crime. It is an opportunity where you can talk or write about the incident and the harm caused in the hope of providing a means of getting answers and the chance to move on with your life.

This can happen through face-to-face meetings or in the form of letter writing and shuttle mediation.

The need for restorative justice has been growing nationally and is seen as a positive and beneficial way to support victims by putting them first and recognising the harm and distress caused.

If you would like to find out more about restorative justice, and what it means to you, please feel free to contact us and have an informal discussion.
